Medizinische Entwicklungspsychologie

In der Medizinischen Entwicklungspsychologie beschäftigen wir uns mit menschlicher Entwicklung von der Schwangerschaft bis ins Erwachsenenalter. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Förderung von Resilienz nach Frühgeburt, insbesondere unter Frühgeborenen mit Migrationshintergrund. Unsere Forschung ist multidisziplinär und kombiniert oft unterschiedliche Methoden und große Datensätze in komplexen Analysemodellen.

Prof. Jäkel ist weltweit an verschiedenen Längsschnittstudien beteiligt und Co-Chair der Adults Born Preterm International Collaboration (APIC). Ihr Track Record umfasst >140 Publikationen und >1,3 Millionen EUR an Forschungsfördermitteln.

Our team in Medical Developmental Psychology studies human development from pregnancy to adulthood. We focus on fostering resilience after preterm birth, especially among children born preterm with an immigrant background. Our research is multidisciplinary, often combining different methods and large data sets in complex analysis models.

Prof. Jaekel is involved in various longitudinal studies worldwide and is co-chair of the Adults Born Preterm International Collaboration (APIC). Her track record includes >140 publications and >1.3 million EUR in research funding.
